John is a 1982 graduate of the University of Texas of San Antonio. John is a board certified orthopedic specialist with 30 years experience. He has been a consultant to DeRoyal Corporation with custom patents for foot and ankle products. He speaks a couple of times a year at the department of Biomechanics at The University Of Tennessee. John is also a consultant to: The University of Tennessee Sports Medicine, Fellowship program, and the Knoxville Track Club. John is an expert in Biomechanics especially related to the foot.
Brenda has more than 25 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy business administration. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Tennessee Wesleyan College. Brenda enjoys biodynamic vegetable and herb gardening and preserving “clean” foods for family and friends.
Jacob Treadway was born and raised in Knoxville (Go Vols)! He is proud to say that he was a War Eagle throughout high school and his undergrad studies as he attended Gibbs High School and Carson Newman University. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise, and eventually obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his graduate studies at East Tennessee State University, Jacob met his wife Megan, and they currently reside in his hometown of Corryton, Tennessee. They both love and cherish their relationship with Jesus and desire to pursue a life of servitude, especially in their jobs where they have an opportunity to serve their patients. Jacob enjoys competition, especially in football, baseball, Olympic lifting, crossfit, running, and golf. He is a family man who loves and cherishes his relationships. God has blessed his life with his wife, mother, father, brothers, and close friends. One verse that has influenced Jacob is James 1:18., “We chose to give us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.”
Caitlin is a transplant to the Knoxville area after growing up in Santa Rosa, CA. She completed her undergraduate education at Miami University in Ohio, where she was a member of the Varsity Synchronized Skating and Collegiate Figure Skating teams. She, then, completed a Master in Health and Exercise Science, specializing in neuromuscular control patterns of the ankle, before completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Washington University in St Louis. Her education at physical therapy school was based on the Movement Systems Impairment method, which focuses on changing faulty movement patterns during daily activities to improve function and assist in pain management through exercise and postural training. Caitlin has a dual practice emphasis on both pain management throughout the lifespan and performing artists with acute and chronic injuries. She spends her free time with her husband, Brett, and 2 kids, Lucas and Ava.
Jon Lilly graduated in 2004 from Walters State Community Community College and has over 11 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in clinical, hospital, and rehabilitation setting. His experience is extensive in working with diverse patient populations to include grade school through college level athletes as well as the geriatric population. He has hands on experience in assisting with TMJ and joint replacement patients including shoulder, knee, and hip. John loves spending quality time with his family and in his down time he enjoys wood working.
Shannon received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Sports Medicine from the Ohio Northern University and her masters of Science in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University. She has 20 years of sports medicine and clinical experience. She is also trained in Strain Counterstrain and Active Isolated Stretching. Shannon loves to play her flute in her Orchestra at Grace Baptist Church. In Shannon’s downtime, you can find her reading, outside in the sunshine, or spending time with her family.
Christy received her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine and Master’s in Education from Tusculum College. She has 20 years combined experience in athletic training and functional rehabilitation. She also is trained in Strain Counterstrain and Active Isolated Stretching. Christy enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
Stephanie Smedley is a yankee, born and raised in Rochester, New York, but has grown to be Southern at heart. In 2012, she acquired her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training with minors in Sport Psychology and Personal Training from West Virginia University (Go Mountaineers)! In 2014, she completed her Master’s in Sport Psychology from the University of Tennessee. Stephanie enjoys being creative through painting, likes to sit on the porch while reading a book (with some sweet tea, of course), and is an avid golf and hockey fan. Stephanie and her husband Justin have been residing in Knoxville for three years and hope to continue to grow roots in the area.
Angela Berry is a native to Dayton, OH where she lived in a military family with 3 siblings. In 2002 she moved to Knoxville, TN where she started her profession in restaurant management. After some time in management, she discovered her passion and care for helping people. Being a former soccer player combined with her love for the outdoors, and desire to help others in the area of wellness grew in her heart. She pursued her passion and became a certified personal trainer through NASM. Angela has 2 years experience in running boot camps. She currently holds the position of Clinical Coordinator at TSMG with numerous responsibilities. Angela is also involved in running a boot camp with her partner: HollyBerry Fitness. Angela lives with her son Sawyer and dog Lucy. She is passionate about her work, people and adventure, but most of all she loves her son. Her dream is to travel to the rolling hills of New Zealand one day.
Aaron Stout is an Exercise Physiologist with a Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor’s degree from Lee University. He is a husband and father of who immensely enjoys the analysis of human movement. With experience in soccer, rugby, and weightlifting, Aaron finds satisfaction in working to improve the strength and range of motion deficiencies he finds in himself and others.
Sharon was born a yankee in Woodberry, Connecticut and moved to New York City to start her career. She graduated from Russell Sage College with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She went onto massage school and specializes in Neuromuscular Trigger Point Release, Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage and Integrative Manual Therapy to name a few. She has been married to her husband, Kevin, for 15 years and they have two beautiful daughters together. Sharon enjoys hiking, swimming, gardening, and cooking.
Jesse Champion was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has been involved in equestrian competition since age five and continues to compete in Eventing at the professional level. She graduated from Pellissippi Community College with an Associate’s degree in Science and would eventually like to obtain her Masters of Business Administration. Jesse is married and has two beautiful stepdaughters.
